Volunteering
Volunteering
Lange Foundation has many dedicated volunteers, who give their time and love to our four-legged friends. Volunteers enrich the lives of these animals and introduce adopting families to our wonderful animal companions.

Kennel Hours: 11am - 5pm, 7 days a week | 310-473-5585 | info@langefoundation.org
If you would like to volunteer at Lange Foundation and are able to commit to a scheduled six hours a month, download the Lange Foundation Volunteer Application and contact our Volunteer Office to sign up for the orientation. Volunteers must be 16 years old or older and every volunteer must first go through the full orientation.
Anyone needing community service hours needs to commit to at least 20 hours. Community service must fulfill our volunteer criteria and go through orientation.
Orientations are Sundays at 10am and you must be signed up to attend. The orientation is done in two parts. During the initial hour-long orientation, you will turn in your volunteer application, review the Volunteer Handbook, and take a tour of the kennel.
If you feel like the Lange Foundation is a good fit, you are welcome to attend the second part of the orientation. This orientation is two hours and will teach you the policies and protocol of the Halfway Home Kennel.

Volunteers are crucial to our organization. The Lange Foundation relies on the time, energy, and dedication of our volunteers!
We are looking for people who can walk dogs, socialize with the cats, and assist with the day to day cleaning, feeding and maintenance of the kennel. We also need folks who are willing to donate their time and expertise to assist in other non-animal or kennel specific work.
In addition to walking dogs or playing with the cats, our volunteers help with the mailings, donate their time at our adoption events, help with outreach to the community, write articles for local press, photograph events, create flyers and posters, organize supplies.
