Long-Term Fostering: Animals in Need
Long-Term Fostering: Animals in Need
We are looking for foster homes for these animals that have been at the shelter a long time and need a long term break from the shelter environment, seniors and special needs animals. We need folks willing to open up their hearts and homes while we continue to look for permanent adopters, for as long as that takes. We cover health costs of animals in foster homes.
If you are interested in fostering any of these special animals, come in and fill out the Foster Agreement Application.
Find out more about:

Chio has been with us for seven years. For seven years, he has been waiting for that perfect someone to overlook his few quirks. Medically, he suffers from seizures and has a thyroid condition which are both treated easily with medication.
Chio is a sweet boy, who needs someone to show him the right kind of affection. Because he has been in the shelter environment so long, he can be a bit stubborn. Can’t really blame him for being a tad pushy! But nothing a bit of guidance and maybe a tasty treat cannot fix. If you have it in your heart to give this little guy a reprieve from the kennel, please contact us.
DOGS
Lady
Lady is a purebred Min Pin-- about 9yrs old. She really likes other dogs and totally loves being held. She is semi visually impaired but gets around just fine, you won't even notice. She adores sitting on laps, going for car rides, being the best friend ever.. But the best part about Lady--scratch her on her back and does the cutest dance!
Trinket
This is Trinket! She is a treasure for sure. She was rescued from a high kill shelter, the staff there adored her. We soon discovered from Trinket has seizures. We took her to a neurologist and now they are now under control. She takes a pill a day to prevent them (Lange Foundation covers the cost of medication and treatment of "pre-existing conditions"). But Trinket doesn't know the difference. Trinket is just jolly! She doesn't have a timid bone. She loves belly rubs, walking and laying around; as long as she's with a person who loves her, she's happy. Trinket will be an excellent companion and family member. Come meet her!
Cookie
Cookie is a tiny little senior chihuahua with a bum leg. She is only about a 10 years old, but so far, her life has been a bit rough. Her previous people didn't treat her very well and ended up breaking her front leg. We stepped in, got her fixed up and now she is totally recovered. Lange Foundation will cover all costs related to her pre-existing condition. She is great on walks, she can crawl into your lap and cuddle, and she loves people! She is a total joy to take out in the grass, as she loves to roll around and play. Oh, and kisses, she gives good ones!
