This PRECIOUS little guy needs someone SUPER, SUPER, SUPER AMAZING to care for him......someone with a HUGE heart for kittens and someone with a lot of patience and understanding for his condition.
Pancake is handicapped and he will need someone who is HOME DURING THE DAY and can supervise him.
Pancake was born with a birth defect......his pelvis is too small and will not grow to its full size. We have had him X-rayed by our Veterinarian and we are told that this will be a permanent condition. We named him "Pancake" and this cutie walks just like a seal with his bottom ALWAYS on the ground and his legs always out to the side. He is not able to stand on his back 2 legs. You would be amazed at how he has learned to do some pretty spectacular things using just his two front legs (which are very strong).

His back 2 legs DO move.....he is NOT paralyzed. He can kick his back legs out to the side to help propel himself when he's on the move. Pancake is NOT suffering or in pain in any way. He is a VERY HAPPY kitten and is so hilarious!! Our vet said he can live a happy life, just like any other cat.
Pancake is just special beyond words!! He is just so sweet and loving......He will tug at your pant leg and look up at you with his little eyes when he wants you to hold him. When you pick him up and hold him and pet him, he just closes his eyes and purrs loudly. He makes you smile the biggest smiles and fills your heart with so much joy!!
THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT HIS CONDITION: He has trouble using regular litter boxes since it is difficult for him to climb into them. We have to pick him up several times a day and put him in the litter box so he can use it. Unfortunately, he doesn't give us any advance notice when he needs to go, so he does have accidents. He also likes to go outside and dig in the dirt and pee and poo outside (we supervise him....we never leave him outside alone). I know he does not feel comfortable having to struggle to use a standard litter box.....he would much rather use the floor......Maybe you can think of some kind of special litter box that can be created especially for him? We have to clean up after him frequently, and his bottom does get dirty a lot since he has to drag it everywhere he goes. We have to bathe him often....sometimes once a week, sometimes once every couple days. So this is why I say it takes someone who is very understanding and patient with him.

He was born on 8-24-09, which makes him almost 5 months old. He has been fully vaccinated, but not neutered yet. We are asking a $20 adoption fee and we require "in-home" placement where we would bring him to you so that we can see he is going to a good home.
