Welcome to the "Frequently Asked Questions" page. If you have other questions that are not answered here, please send an email to langewebmaster@yahoo.com.

Q:  Where is Lange Foundation located?
A:
We are located at 2106 S. Sepulveda Blvd. in West Los Angeles. The kennel is on the east side of Sepulveda Blvd., one block north of Olympic Blvd.

Q:  I want to volunteer my time at Lange Foundation, who should I talk to about this?
A:
We appreciate the time and devotion that our volunteers give us and always welcome new volunteers. There is a volunteer application to fill out and you must be 16 years of age or older. We need people to walk dogs in the morning, afternoon, and evening. We like the cats to get a little human socialization and to be brushed once in a while (the cats like it too).
If you would like to volunteer your time, please come into the shelter between the hours of 11am and 5pm.

Q:  I want to adopt an animal from Lange Foundation. What is the process and where should I start?
A:
The process to adopt an animal is very easy. Come into the foundation and have a look around at the cats and dogs. If you see one that you would like to provide a home for, ask for an application and you can fill it out there or at your own home, or you can download a dog or cat application here. There is a home check (for the security of the animal) that involves an employee coming to your home. They will ensure that balconies are enclosed, fences are high enough and do not offer holes that an animal may be able to get out, and other safety concerns that may need to be addressed.

Q:  What does the adoption fee cover?
A:
Because we are a non-profit group, the adoption fee helps us feed, house, medicate, and vaccinate all of the animals. It also allows us to continue our life-saving work of rescuing more animals from the city shelters. This also helps to cover the cost of sterilization and microchips.

Q:  Do we accept strays or owner turn-ins?
A:
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept owner turn-ins. We rescue animals from the shelters to give them the opportunity at a second chance at life.

Q:  I want to give the “Gift of Life” to someone for a present. How can I do this?
A:
To send a "Gift of Life" present to someone, call the foundation or send the following information to The Lange Foundation:
            * Your name, address, telephone number (in case we need to ask you a question)
            * The recipients name(s), and address.
            * You can send in a personal check. If you call, we accept all major credit cards.
